We are a group of Department of Justice moms and wives who have come together to help you.

We've all been there.

Your dear hubby get transferred and you need to move your family to a new town.  When you get there, you find yourself living in a hotel with nothing to do with your kids and unable to find somewhere good to take them to eat.  You wish you knew all the hidden gems of your new town.

We are here to help.

This blog will be a place for you to come and find the hidden gems of the towns within our DOD system.  It will be a place to help you find the joy all around, while in the midst of moving and living in a new town.

I'm Kim and I have been a prison wife for 16 1/2 years.  The first seven and a half were with the State of Texas and the next nine were with the federal government. Our first paid move came two years ago to the small town of Canon City, Colorado.

It took us a long time to find the gems in this area, and I'm excited to share with you what I wish I had known then.

I have four kids ranging in age from nine to eighteen.
